Cable-stayed bridge is a popular form of long span bridge construction because of its elegant appearance. It is commonly adopted in highways/ railways to cross deep valleys and wide fairways. There are two hundred cable- stayed bridges in world. In Hong Kong there are three in use and the fourth one is currently under construction.
