Utility Surveying

 

The course is designed to provide operators, engineers, surveyors & project managers in the construction related industries and facilities management services with essential theoretical and practical knowledge in Underground Utility Mapping to meet the increasing demand for high volume and quality utility mappings for preventive maintenance, design, permit to dig and new works.

 

Upon completion of the Course, students should be able to:

  • have full understanding of role of utility mapping specialist, rules of and methods for utility mapping.
  • prepare site raw data and report of utility mapping
  • asset management systems using IDMS 

 

Utility Survey Results Accuracy Evaluation & Usefulness (UTE)

Recently, a lot of underground utility survey have been taken part or still in the processing. Many Inspectors, Surveyors, Engineer representatives and Project Managers may have faced the following issues:

 

Is the surveying specialist doing fine or would their submission under the required standards? What are the standards? What regulations should be followed? What should be surveyed? What can be surveyed? How accurate will be the survey results? How the results may be made use of?

 

To tackle the issues, UTI is pleased to provide a 2.5 days training course for Inspectors, Engineers, Surveyors and Project Managers working or will be working in utility related works for their better understand of the issues.

 

The course will also include the competent training to meet the requirements to apply for Competent Person under Cap406H, Electricity Supply Lines (Protection) Regulation.

  • evaluat the accuracy and usefulness of the survey results
